Runs in your browser. No installation.
process era needs no client and no IT odyssey. For everything to run smoothly, your workstation should bring a few basics.
Workstation hardware
Your browser does the work – and it needs some room to breathe.
Processor
4 CPU cores
Memory
8 GB RAM
With a 64-bit operating system so all memory can be used.
Network
10 Mbps or more
Recommended.
You decide how large your content gets. High-resolution images in diagrams increase the data volume significantly – on a slow connection, loading takes noticeably longer.
Older machine? For simply reading and viewing processes it's usually fine. You'll notice the difference when modelling.
Browser & software
Browser
Google Chrome (recommended), Microsoft Edge, Safari – each in the latest version – and Mozilla Firefox (latest ESR).
Browser settings
JavaScript and cookies enabled, at least 50 MB free storage for web databases.
Printing
A PDF viewer – your browser's built-in one is all you need.
Tablet
iPad (iOS/iPadOS) and Android tablets work via the browser. No app required.
Single sign-on
process era supports single sign-on via SAML 2.0. Almost every common identity provider speaks it – e.g. Microsoft Entra ID, Okta or Google Workspace. Your team signs in with their usual company login.
process era in your AI assistant (MCP)
We provide the MCP server – you bring the AI assistant. The requirements are set by each vendor. Here's the overview:
| AI assistant | What you need |
|---|---|
| Claude | Custom connectors are available on all plans; the Free plan allows one connector. On Team and Enterprise, the organization owner adds the connector first. Works on web, desktop and mobile. |
| ChatGPT | A paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu) with developer mode enabled on the web. Not available on Free. On Business, Enterprise and Edu an admin must enable it. |
| Gemini | Gemini Enterprise – an admin registers the MCP server in the Google Cloud console – or the Gemini CLI. |
| Open WebUI | Version 0.6.31 or later. Add the server under "External Tools" as type "MCP (Streamable HTTP)". |
As of October 2026. Vendors change plans and features regularly – when in doubt, the vendor's current documentation applies.
