Multi-Model Process Modeler

Anyone can document processes. In their own view. BPMN builds itself.

Process documentation used to be a job for BPMN experts. With the Multi-Modeller, anyone writes a work instruction, the RACI is created and refined, and the BPMN model builds itself.

Today, only BPMN experts document processes

In most companies, process documentation sits with a few specialists who know BPMN. But the knowledge lives with the people who do the work every day, and they have no use for gateways and swimlanes.

The result: experts become a bottleneck, documentation goes stale, and departments no longer recognise their own processes. Without buy-in, the process model remains an expert document nobody uses.

How the Multi-Modeller works

  1. 1

    Write a work instruction

Employees describe step by step how they work, in plain language, with no notation knowledge.

  2. 2

The RACI is created and refined

process era derives responsibilities from the steps. You adjust who is responsible, accountable, consulted or informed directly in the RACI.

  3. 3

    BPMN builds itself

The BPMN 2.0 model with lanes and activities is created automatically and stays in sync with every change.

Everyone documents in the view that suits them

One process, nine views, all from the same source. A change in one view shows up in all the others instantly.

  • Business Process Canvas (BPC)

For process owners capturing a process's purpose, customers, outputs and KPIs on one page.

  • BPMN 2.0

For process experts, architects and automation.

  • SIPOC

For managers who need an overview of suppliers, inputs, outputs and customers.

  • Turtle diagram

For quality management and ISO 9001 auditors.

  • Makigami

For lean teams uncovering waste and media breaks.

  • RACI

    For teams clarifying responsibilities.

  • Table

For anyone who prefers rows and columns.

  • Issue view

For improvement: problems and ideas right at the process step.

  • Maturity

For process owners assessing and raising process maturity.

Buy-in instead of expert-only documentation

Knowledge is documented by those who have it

The process manager no longer writes up what they were told. Departments document themselves, in the view that comes most naturally.

Change once, current everywhere

When someone edits the work instruction, the RACI, BPMN and all other views update automatically. No reconciling five documents.

Processes people recognise

People stand behind processes they described themselves. Process management turns from an expert project into a shared effort.

One process. Endless perspectives.

The clerk writes the work instruction, the team lead clarifies responsibilities in the RACI, the process expert refines the BPMN. Everyone works on the same process, each in their own language.

Why teams finally join in

Low barrier to entry

If you can write a work instruction, you can document processes. BPMN training is no longer a prerequisite.

Experts get relief

BPMN specialists review and refine instead of modelling everything themselves. The bottleneck disappears.

Standards stay intact

The generated model is clean BPMN 2.0, ready for audits, analysis and automation.

Frequently asked questions about the Multi-Modeller

Do I need BPMN skills to document processes?

No. You start with a work instruction in plain language. process era derives the RACI and the BPMN model automatically.

How is the BPMN model created from the work instruction?

Each step of the work instruction becomes an activity, each responsible role becomes a lane. Changes in the RACI or BPMN flow back into the work instruction.

Which views are available?

Nine: Business Process Canvas (BPC), BPMN 2.0, SIPOC, turtle diagram, Makigami, RACI, table, issue view and maturity. All use the same process data.

Can experts keep editing the generated BPMN?

Yes. The model is full BPMN 2.0 and can be refined, for example with gateways or events. The other views stay in sync.

How does this help acceptance of process management?

When employees document their own processes in a familiar view, they recognise themselves in them. That creates buy-in and keeps documentation current.

Let the people who do the work document it.
